The self-proclaimed "Great Sage [that can] Move Mountains" (移山大圣 yí shān dà shèng), Lion Spirit King, is one of the Seven Great Sages (七大圣 qī dà shèng) from the Journey to the West (西游记 xī yóu jì) - seven sworn brothers, each more powerful than the next. The other six include: 

• The Monkey King (孙悟空 sūn wù kōng)
• Bull-Demon King (牛魔王 niú mó wáng)
• Saurian Demon King (蛟魔王 jiāo mó wáng)
• Roc Demon King (鹏魔王 péng mó wáng)
• Macaque Spirit King (猕猴王 mí hóu wáng)
• Snub-nosed monkey Spirit King (禺狨王 yú róng wáng)
